To me that is the definition of a true class ic! I would recommend this game to anyone who likes the original NES Contra, is looking for a good challenge, wants to show off what the NES can do, or is looking for a good co-op multi-player game. Even though this game came out nearly 17 years ago I still have a blast playing through this game with a friend. This was one of the main reasons that I decided to add this game to my collection. Also of note is the exceptional co-op multi-player. For the hardcore gamer, though, it offers great replay value because of the feeling of accomplishment that you get from progressing through the game. For the casual gamer this game can very quickly become an exercise in frustration.
